Misty( our papillon) has stayed several times @ Newstead Lodge and we are more than happy with the care she has received. Although very social, she is a small breed and so needs supervision in her interactions and she gets that. Also,papillons are single coated and it is important that they don’t get chilled and we have never had any problem with that. She looks forward to going to Newstead Lodge (as far as we can tell) because she gets excited as we turn in to the drive.
She has several further bookings and we can leave her with confidence in her care during our absence

Our dog loves Doggy Daycare! She has been coming for 6 years and it just keeps getting better and better. She loves the people and you know that this is reciprocated, as they know so much about her personality and routines! Each day, she is excited to go…in fact, if you take an alternate route to daycare, she soon lets you know. The dogs (and their parents) are always greeted by name and with a friendly welcome.

Mandy our aging cat frequently stays at Newstead Lodge and we are very grateful for the wonderful care Jenny, Charlie and their dedicated team give to our much loved cat during her stays.
Mandy is highly strung, fragile and old but always comes home calm and in great condition so we have no hesitation in highly recommending Newstead Lodge as a great place for a cat to stay.
It is very reassuring to know that Mandy will be well looked after and makes it so much easier to leave her knowing she is in such good hands.

When we enrolled our 4-year-old boxer Nikau into day-care at Newstead, we were a little apprehensive because of his age and the fact we’d never left him with strangers before. Despite being painfully shy for the first few weeks, the fantastic team at Newstead persisted and made every effort to make him comfortable and relaxed. He’s now a fully-fledge day-care regular who absolutely loves it and gets extremely excited even on the drive to the lodge. Being able to leave our boy in a safe place so he can socialise with other dogs and do lots of doggy things is really important, and Newstead Lodge is the perfect place for doing just that!

Our young, one and a half year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Honey, has spent many a day and night at Newstead Lodge. The care and attention Honey (and we) receive is exceptional! Honey loves going to Newstead Lodge! She is so excited the minute we arrive and is always so keen to get going and to play and socialise! The facilities, care, and individual attention is phenomenal. Newstead is Honey’s second home. We leave her knowing how well she will be cared for, loved, and looked after, and with total peace of mind.

Nobody chooses to leave a pet, and a beloved member of their family, in someone else’s care, but in so many ways Newstead Lodge is a home away from home, and its staff are like extended family!

Hi, my name is Peanut and I go to Newstead Lodge Doggy Daycare three days a week. I asked my Grannie to write and say a big thank you to Jenny, Charlie and all the doggy staff for looking after me so well. They take the time to get to know me, what I like and who I like to play with – which is every dog. They are friendly and kind to me, and I feel safe with them.
I get really excited when I know Grannie is taking me to daycare. As soon as we drive in I start wagging my tail, I can’t wait to say hello to everyone and play with my friends. Grannie knows I’m well looked after because at the end of the day, when she picks me up, I’m smiling, wagging my tail and tired from all the playing. It means when I get home I don’t harass my cat Rocket too much. I just like to have my dinner, lots of cuddles, then snuggle into my bed for a rest. Grannie knows I’m in the best of care when she is at work and I’m not getting into mischief at home alone.

I have been bringing my dog here for over 5 years and it is so much more than a dog day care. My dog had a troubled upbringing, having multiple owners who treated her badly. She was very timid and afraid of everything and everyone.
She is now socialized, happy and as carefree as one can expect from a heeler. She loves coming to day care and tells me so quite loudly as we pull into the driveway.
The team are all animal lovers and treat the dogs as if they are their own with lots of love and attention which you can tell by the way all of the dogs are so happy to be there.
