Vaccinations
DOGS
Dogs cannot be boarded unless we see evidence that they have been vaccinated within the last 12 months for distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus and kennel cough. Your vet will provide you with a vaccination card recording what type of vaccination has been given and when the booster is due. Some vets do not give kennel cough vaccinations automatically and it is a must when you bring your dog in for a stay. If in doubt please see your vet. We will also keep a record of when your dog’s vaccinations are due and who your vet is so when you book we can alert you. Please be aware that there are stand down periods for vaccinations.
We also recommend you have your dog wormed and de-flead regularly.
CATS
We will need to see up to date cat vaccination cards. Cats must be vaccinated within last 12 months against feline infectious enteritis (panleukopenia), Rhinotrachiitis (herpes) and calicivirus. Please check with your vet if in doubt and don’t forget to have your cat regularly wormed and de-flead. We recommend Advantage or Frontline flea treatments. Please be aware that there are stand down periods for vaccinations.
Kittens also need to have completed their series of vaccinations before boarding.
